The 65 and older population in the U.S. will nearly double in about 20 years, meaning more people will be struggling to see the road like they used to.

Now I know we’re in a capitalist driven economy, and the sheer size of the 65 and older population is reward enough for any company to develop new products catered towards their convenience, but with self parking vehicles and now lines drawn onto windshields I have a feeling that we’re going to be in for a period of time where car related accidents will rise. We’re assisting people who should hang the keys up stay on the road longer than they should, and as a result everyone else on the road will have to deal with more handicapped drivers than ever before. And maybe it’s because I’m only 24 and can’t feel the pain of having to drop the keys, because cars are such strongly correlated to ones freedom, but I can say that if you’re not able to drive or especially park a car than you need to re-evaluate your driving skills.

And fancy glowing lines on windshields poses another hazard, I’m sure some moronic teenagers will likely want to begin driving while under several different influences to test out the new glowing gadgets in their cars.
